Joseph Call, MD
Joseph returned to Pocatello, Idaho, to practice outpatient Family Medicine. He and his wife and five children are excited to be closer to family and return to a community that has long been home. His father, grandfather, and great-grandfather collectively practiced medicine in the area for more than 100 years. He looks forward to continuing that legacy of service to patients and family in the beautiful area of southeast Idaho.
Michael Fewkes, MD
Mike will be continuing his education at a one-year Emergency Medicine fellowship in Cullman, Alabama. “Wyhomeing” was a great adventure full of learning and friends that have become family, but now he and Kevin are off to sweet home Alabama!
Emily Hansen, DO
Emily, her husband Brendon, and their three dogs are heading just outside of Knoxville, Tennessee. She will be practicing outpatient Family Medicine with a focus on preventative care and women’s health.
Marko Lubardic, MD
Marko will be practicing outpatient Family Medicine in Loveland, Colorado. He looks forward to building long-term relationships with patients, exploring a new community with his wife, and finally having the whole family – including their two dogs – under one roof
Liz McKenzie, DO – Rural Training Track
Liz moved to Tacoma for an FMOB fellowship. She is anticipating overseas medical work for two years after that before returning to the Mountain West to practice full spectrum Family Medicine.
Daniel Samelson, DO
Daniel will be taking some time with his family back in his home state before he continues his career in family medicine.
Shelbie Scharf, MD
Shelbie moved to Phoenix, Arizona, with her partner and fur babies. She is starting her Maternal Child health FMOB fellowship at the University of Arizona. She is planning to stay in the East Valley area post fellowship in an academic setting.
Michael Swainston, MD
Michael will spend the summer travelling with his family. He will be working at an outpatient clinic doing general Family Medicine in Fort Collins, Colorado
Nathan Toenjes, DO
Nathan will be staying on at our clinic for three months following graduation to help while a provider is taking maternity leave, and to build their savings prior to moving home to Idaho. He plans to start his own practice in Idaho Falls this fall, Freestone Family Medicine and Wellness. He will be practicing outpatient Family Medicine with an emphasis and special interest in preventative and lifestyle medicine. His goal is to expand services to physical therapy, personal training, dietary counseling, and health coaching. Nathan’s passion in medicine is seeing his patients physically, mentally, and spiritually transform by incorporating small and simple changes in their daily lives.
